KERRY BLUE CRUFTS 22 Kerry Blue Terrier - Judge: Ms C Davani PD (2, 1) 1 Daly’s Commache Star. A very good headed dog with the best of bites and dark pigmentation. Reachy neck, good layback, well ribbed and level topline. Angulation in rear without exaggeration and correct tailset which could be carried better on the move but moved soundly and confidentially both ways. Best Puppy. 1 Rigley’s Ariana Sky Blue NAF. The best headed dog in the class. This dog never stopped using his ears to his advantage, had a keen expression and was on his toes all the time. A balanced dog throughout with a fabulous coat texture. He moved well both ways and with focus. 2 Marley’s Lansmar King Of The Celts. Another smart young male with similar attributes to the class winner but lost to the winner on expression. 3 Baxter’s Clanciarrai Pecker Dunne. 2 Smyth’s Lynnsto Dark Days Gaelgorm. A very elegant dog with super coat and colour. Finer in type to the class winner but a quality young dog that moved and showed well. I loved his profile, only the head of the class winner denied this dog its class. 3 Bagworth & Connor’s Faragoma Lucky Little Fella. 1 Somers’ Catchgorm Checkmate By Dogazza (ai). An upstanding all male Kerry dog presented in the best of coat condition. When standing he is most striking and did not disappoint on the move. A lengthy head with substance, good reach of neck, level topline and honest front. 1 Anderson & Watt’s Esp Ch/Ch Irisblu Big Expectations For Nisyros. An absolutely stunning dog in profile and a complete showman. Although he is a smaller male than I would normally go for, he won this class with ease. A very powerful moving dog with an outstanding reach of neck, cobby, silky coat texture and very well angulated behind indeed with the best of tailsets and plenty behind it. Outstanding presentation and his handler got the best out of him. Delighted to award him the CC and BOB. I was pleased to see he made the cut in the Group. 2 Soltan’s Pl Ch/De Ch/Sk Ch/Int Ch Kerrydom Court Perdor. I liked this male dog both in size and type. Correct head, coat and colour and a very honest dog to go over. Sadly, on the day he just did not want to co-operate with his handler which made it very difficult to properly assess his movement although it did appear to be sound. 3 Camanzi’s Arterriers Conjueror Of The Colliseum. Two super bitches that looked a lot younger than their years which is a real credit to their owners and breeders. 1 McCann’s Irisblu Margarita. A bitch I have always admired. I have said it before and will say it again, I simply do not understand how she never gained her crown and even now at 10 years of age she still has the wow factor. Best of coats and colour she oozes quality throughout and still showing her head off. I love her. Best Veteran. 2 Jones’ Arkama Harmony Miss D’arcy. Another very good coated type bitch in outstanding condition. Bigger than the winner. Thoroughly enjoying her day out and handled so well. 1 Somers’ Pillow Talk At Dogazza. An overall good make and shape but I would prefer a slightly better tailset. Feminine head with good expression. Moved and showed well and of a correct size. 2 Bagworth & Connor’s Faragoma Fluffles Of Beauty. I liked the head and expression on this bitch very much. Smaller than the winner and not quite as settled in the ring. Compact and cobby in type, moving ok both ways. I would prefer a better topline. 1 Martin’s Clanciarrai Aria. What a beautiful make and shape this young bitch is. I absolutely loved everything about her. The best of heads and expression. Compact, stylish, short backed, reachy neck, super tailset and backend. Moved well and with determination, she is just so feminine, correct in all aspects and such a show girl. With maturity she will be one to beat. She pushed so hard for the CC, I have no doubt, her time will come. Wish she was mine. RCC. 2 Clarke-O’Neill’s Showtime Lady At Lemracdream. Another beautiful bitch who was unfortunate to come up against the class winner. Super head and expression, feminine and put up an outstanding performance on the day. She will be sure to make up. 1 Daly’s Lansmar Mocking Jay. 18 month old feminine bitch with very good coat texture and colour. Quality head with good expression and balanced throughout. Moved and showed well. 2 Bagworth & Connor’s Faragoma Perla Twinkle Toes. A compact and good headed bitch of correct size. She moved Ok and time will hopefully perfect her colour. Clearly, a great deal of time and effort had been taken to prepare the bitch for her big day out. 1 Prendergast’s Lakki Kerri Pride With Glory. An interesting bitch that was so honest to go over. An excellent head with keen expression. Super silver coat. Stylish but could be skittish. Her handler got the absolute best out of her as she could be inclined to pace. 2 Jones’ Joalyn Sweet Melody. Stunning coat, colour and presentation on this bitch. Super head, long and lean without losing the substance you want in a Kerry muzzle. Up to size for me but overall a decent bitch who moved and showed very well. All of the bitches in this class were champion material. 1 Pinfold’s Cyres Alexandra. For me a classic, classy bitch who was just so honest to go over and was in the best condition and beautifully presented. Not exaggerated in any way, feminine with good coat and colour. Very good mover front, back and also in profile. Beautiful head and expression and was overall balanced in entirety. Never put a foot wrong with her clever handler. CC & pushed hard for BOB. 2 Ban’s Dandy Black & Blue Nika. This bitch is just so my type. Ultra feminine, correct size, coat and colour; with the longest of necks, short coupled and superbly angulated behind. Such a good moving bitch when she wanted to. Very well handled to get the most out of her but unfortunately there was a handler change in the challenge which put her to such a disadvantage. 3 Quigg’s Ch Irisblu Viola. 1 Jones’ Joalyn Sweet Melody. 2 Jones’ Arkama Harmony Miss D’arcy. |
