DOGS
It was an enjoyable privilege to be invited to judge dogs by the committee at this well organised show. I would like to thank all the exhibitors for entering their dogs, all were presented in lovely condition with excellent temperaments. It was particularly nice to see new handlers and hope they will continue to show. Thanks also to my steward Lesley Olbinson for maintaining a smoothly run ring.

1. Wildgust’s The Black Pirateer. This 6 month youngster caught my eye as soon as he entered the ring. Compact with bone. Strong head with a good bite and underjaw, carrying his ears well. Nice straight front with depth of chest and well angulated at the rear. Moved round the ring with purpose. Well marked with a deep rich tan and good vent. BPIS
2. Sharples’ Talanors Taylored Diamond. 9 months old with a lovely outline. Balanced head and nicely set ears. Elegant neck leading to a well laid shoulder and good forechest. Desired tuck up complete with slight rise over the loin and well set tail. Moved out well but slightly loose in front.
3. Almond’s Eaglespur Classic Charmer. 9 month old with almond shaped eyes and pleasing head on an elegant neck leading to nicely shaped body. Topline a little flat.

1. Wildgust’s The Black Pirateer
2. Ginter’s Lepomeau Monsieur Alphonse. 12 month old dog who held his topline on the move. Fair angulation at the rear with a decent tuck up. Attractive proportioned head with good ear carriage and dark eye.

Tyro Dog 5 (1)
1) Turner’s Harkeats Lord Likely. Super well muscled strong dog with elegance. Pleasing head with a dark almond eye. Good straight front with nice deep chest and desired tuck up leading to strong angulated hind quarters. Well marked with tail nicely set and moved with purpose round the ring holding his super topline. A little taller than I like and unfortunately played up in the challenge.
2) Wildgust’s The Black Pirateer
3) Stedman’s Mansiya If You Dare. Balanced head with ears well set. Straight front but would like more forechest. Nicely toned with an acceptable tuck up would like more bend of stifle. Decided to play up on the move today.
Post Graduate Dog 1 (0)
1) Chapmans Cedar Falls. Stood alone in his class but still worthy of his place. A compact dog with a strong balanced head and ears hanging close to head. Would prefer a darker eye. Legs well under him accompanied with a deep chest. Pleasing tuck up and desirable topline held on the move. Well marked.
Open Dog 3 (0)
1) Stedman’s Mansiya Dare To Be Different. A compact dog with a nice head and dark almond eyes, ears well set. Strong fore chest leading to a deep chest and a gentle tuck up. Well toned, nicely angulated at the rear with a good tail set. Moved well but flagged slightly in the challenge. RBD
2) Chapmans Cedar Falls
3) Owczarek’s Gorau Grymus CI (TAF) Mature dog with a pleasing head and ear carriage. In possession of a deep chest and good muscle tone. Decided to play his handler up today which inhibited his movement.
Veteran Dog 2 (0)
1) Wicker’s Mimbre Mister Solo. 12yrs old at the end of this month and showing the youngsters how it’s done. Super wedge shaped head with sparkling dark almond eyes complete with well carried ears. Lovely neck leading into well laid shoulders and forechest. Good deep chest and tuck up with admirable bend of stifle supporting well muscled hindquarters. Coat in excellent condition. Flowed with ease and purpose demonstrating good reach round the ring. BV, BD, RBIS
2) Thurlow’s Westwytch Tourmaline Taboo at Erkenwyne. Slightly finer than 1 but lots to like. Super head with desired V –shaped ears. Has an attractive neck leading to a straight front. Would like a deeper chest but compensates with a good tuck up, desirable top line and well set bee sting tail. Well toned body with good vent and coat.

BITCHES
I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge. I had a lovely day and some lovely dogs to go over. Sadly the heat did affect the performance of some of the dogs but my final line up of bitches really did shine in the summer sunshine.

Puppy Bitch (2)
1st Sharpe’s Rosettia High Hopes, 9 months old and beginning to shape up nicely, nice head, ears settling well and used purposefully on the move. She has good depth of chest and nice length of neck and topline, well-proportioned and of a good size, moved well.
2nd Symes & Pease’s Jazestry Joyful Joyfoul, at just six months there’s a lot to like but didn’t have the maturity of 1, a good strong head, ears still need to settle. She oozed substance, with a lovely outline and good markings. Nerves got the better of her on the move, but with some training could do well.
Beginners Bitch (2)
1st Willams’s Rollsbrook Blue Moon, 3 years old of nice size and in great coat and condition. Very feminine head with good neck leading into a good topline, nice bend of stifle and tidy feet, good rich tan. Moved well. 2nd Cockburn’s Rosettia Morning Mist, also of good size and in lovely muscle tone and overall condition. Nice head, a little nervous so ears were held back. Very feminine and elegant, moved ok.
Tyro Bitch (5)
1st Standring’s Paucelin Evelyn, beautiful feminine head with good wedge shaped head. Good in front with well laid shoulders and good bend of stifle. Nice overall shape stood and on the move. Nice tan and well-marked. Moved well in the class but the heat got the better of her in the challenge.
2nd Bartlett’s Jazestry Voice of Truth, a little under weight but a lot to like and she pushed the class winner hard. She has a lovely coat, nice head with tidy ears. Well flowing topline with good rise over the loin, moved well out and back.
3rd Smith’s Ticknell Miss Caruso Lovely feminine head, good fore chest, shows herself off well stood and on the move just needs time to mature.
Post Graduate Bitch (9,1)
A big class filled with quality and I had some very tough decisions to make.
1st Warm & Riley’s Rattustrap Raven, this bitch caught my eye right from the start of the class, well sized and such a beautiful head with neat tidy ears and good almond shaped eyes. Lots of substance, nice depth of chest. Lovely neck flowing into nice shoulder, tight at elbow and good topline. Lovely rich tan. A good mover with drive from behind. RBB.
2nd Knight’s Talanors Special Made Treat. A quality bitch with a beautiful head, ears a little unsettled. Good in front, lovely depth of chest and well angulated hind quarters. Well set tail and well defined markings. Just lacking a little confidence today.
3rd Standring’s Paucelin Anna. Another well sized bitch with a good wedge shaped head whilst still being feminine. Great muscle tone and well-marked. Moved well.
Open Bitch (6,1)
1st Saville’s Querceti Isadora For Dobermatian. A Beautiful bitch presented in perfect condition her coat just gleamed. A lovely head with neat ears, and dark eye, flowing into a nice reach of neck, shoulder and topline. Lovely hind quarters, well-muscled. Lovely rich tan and good markings. Moved with purpose and showed off at all times on a loose lead in what was a very hot day. BB & BIS.
2nd Thurlow’s Erkenwyne Lady Guinevere. A very pretty and elegant bitch, just lacking a little weight on this occasion. Feminine head, lovely neck, nice rise over loin. Good bend of stifle and good muscled hind quarters. Super outline stood and on the move.
3rd Harrison’s Sophlya Sophie, really liked her size. Nice head, and overall outline. Moved out and back well on a loose lead.
Veteran Bitch (4,1)
1st Thurlow’s Brenandi Genteel Gypsy at Erkenwyne. 7 and half years old, and still lots to offer the breed. Presented in good condition and still has such good markings. Nice head and ears on full alert. Well constructed with good fore chest, neck and topline. Moved well. RBVIS.
2nd Smith’s Mansiya Midnight Graceful. 8 years old. Of a different type to 1 but still a lot to like. A good head and keen expression. Good depth of chest, nice rear angulation. Moved with purpose.
3rd Fitch’s Westwytch Silken Polli Esta. At 11 and a half was the oldest of the class and she did find the heat of the day very difficult. A pretty and very feminine head, in lovely coat and condition.
