MANCHESTER JUDGE BOSTON 11

Manchester Terriers

As always a pleasure to judge this most delightful breed. My main worry is the difference in size, some lacking the length & strength of muzzle & of course colour.

PD (4)

1 Dale & Saxton’s Rattustrap Black Sheep, big enough, correct head, colour & moved well, especially from behind, very well handled & in fine coat & colour, super bone & correct feet, tail well set on. BD & BP;

2 Eva’s Sophyla Sam Brown, sired by one of my favourites & very much to like about him, good type, look forward to watching him grow on.

JD (3,1a)

1 Hemsell’s Tetani Wizard Of Dreams, easy winner, good for type, correct colour, moved & handled to best benefit;

2 Renshaw & Robinson’s Talanors Smart Treat with Westbank, not moving so well. In fine coat & condition.

PGD (2,1)

1 Forshaw’s Janzins Rock Star, coat could have been clearer. Moved OK. Handler did try, but the boy wasn’t having it.

O (1)

1 Clifton’s Gloryline Henry The Seventh, loved him, but he has the habit of leaning into the legs of his much loved owner/breeder & it really throws him out of line. Front needs to firm up. Lovely for type, good head, correct ears & eye shape, correct bite, in great coat, condition & super for colour. RBD.

PB (1)

1 Smith’s Calastoa Lady Of Meltham at Simjest, impressive baby & one I shall look out for, sound for type & moved as expected, ears flying & thumbprints coming through. Time is all she needs, hope she develops more strength of underjaw too.

JB (1)

1 Dale & Saxton’s Egloshayle Sea Sprite of Rattustrap, classy girl, loved her colour, head, eye & expression, correct length of neck. Front not so positive. Super feet. PGB (2) 1 Hemsell’s Tetani Spirit Of The Wind &

2 Hemsell’s Tetani Spirit Vision. Two lovely sisters, both very similar, in excellent coat & condition as expected from this kennel. Winner won on better front, shoulder & outline.

OB (4)

Super class.

1 Geraghty’s Tyburn Laodice, delighted me, sound in all departments, lovely make, shape & balance, correct head, well placed ears, super front & shoulders, correct tailset & carriage, in good fettle & colour, moved & handled so well. BOB;

2 Forshaw’s Gloryline Lady Jane Grey, quality girl. Coat could be clearer, but a sound mover. Breeder Hemsell’s Tetani team of four, what a joy to see this handler with all 4 dogs moving in complete & perfect style.
