MANCHESTER JUDGE BOURNEMOUTH 10

MANCHESTER TERRIER

It wasn’t exactly Manchester Terrier weather, chilly with a light drizzle to start with, but having viewed the wet weather alternative, we decided to stay out. Things improved and nobody got wet. Some were well up to size and I had some very gay tails to contend with. There were some really nice puppies. I loved the BOB and was pleased with the top winners. There were 28 dogs entered and not a single absentee.

PD(2)

1 Williams’ Egloshayle Sea Lord. 9 months, good type and size, moved reasonably well, keen expression, lovely dark eyes, well carried tail, good topline and proportions, feet could be tighter and markings more clearly defined.

2 Norris’ Brookstream Louis De Blue. Ten and a half months, masculine head of good length, better feet than first but quite loose in front movement, fit, firm body, well schooled showman, moved ok behind, gay tail spoils outline on the move.

JD(2)

Both had rather gay tail carriage.

1 Morris’ Mansiya Word To The Wise At Calastoa. 15 months, typical young male, good outline, feet and overall proportions, keen alert showman, lean and fit, well muscled, moved quite well.

2 Dunford &Akrigg’s Quixol Alexander. 15 months, well up to size, feet could be tighter, good head, eyes and ear carriage, excellent coat and condition, bit excited today and took time to settle.

PGD(2)

More gay tails!

1 Clifton’s Gloryline Henry The Seventh. 18 months, bit of a fidget on the stack, typical head and expression, eyes could be a shade darker, clean outline, good markings, body and coat, moved well behind, bit loose in front.

2 Doherty’s Hagrid Tobias Longbottom. 3 years, could be a little more masculine in head and expression, clean neckline, failed in movement, particularly behind.

LD (3)

1 and CC, Beardow’s Talanors Hellova Treat For Sipowitz. 22 months, same sire as BP and BPD. My notes say “best one so far” and he went on to beat the champion in open dog, keen expression, dark eyes, well proportioned, very fit and well muscled, handled to best advantage, good thumb prints and pencilling, clean and well presented, well carried tail, moved and showed well.

2 Goodwin’s Digelsa Dionysis. Smart 2 year old in good form, ears a bit wide set, excellent body and quarters, well conditioned, steady showman, well sprung ribs, adequate mover.

3 Heynes’ Browdel Black Muskateer ShCM.

OD(2)

1 and RCC, Morris’ Ch Calastoa Amber Nectar. Two and a half years, up to size, masculine head, dark, intelligent eyes, well carried ears, good markings, rich tan, in excellent coat and condition, a little untidy in front movement, assertive showman..

2 Leigh’s Sophyla Sorcerer Of Mansiya JW ShCM. 2 years old, better size than first, good type, dark almond shaped eyes, very good expression, good outline, expertly handled, just did not move right behind today.

PB(4)

1 and BP, Saxton &Dale’s Egloshayle Sea Sprite Of Rattustrap. Easy winner, 9 months, litter sister to best puppy dog, quality head, lovely eyes and expression, clean outline, best mover in this class, calm and steady showgirl with good attitude, well handled and presented.

2 Broxup’s Brockenella’s Black Balliza. 10 months, needs to sort her ears out as they were flying everywhere today, well proportioned with feminine outlook, hindquarters could be a bit stronger, good type and size.

3 Jones’ Larkswing Arial Acrobat.

JB(3)

1 Dunford &Akrigg’s Quixol Pandora. 16 months, up to size, good head, eyes and expression, firm body of good depth, showed steadily, went well behind, room for improvement in front.

2 Leigh’s Mansiya Cosmopolitan. Same age as first, daughter of RCC winner, standing looked the winner but failed in topline, going round did a fair bit of hopping today, feminine head, dark sparkling eyes, very well handled.

3 Evans’ Coombelane New Beginning.

PGB (1)

1 Bynam &Bynam’s Lacinka Liquid Gold At Ceebee. 20 months, focused alert showgirl, dark bright eyes, ears could be smaller, well marked, excellent body and muscletone, strong quarters, moved well, handled to advantage.

LB(4)

1 and RCC, Churms’ Digelsa Dream Maker Of Wystry JW ShCM. 27 months, same way bred as BOB, very smart showgirl who responded well to her handler, both posed and on the move, feminine head, expressive eyes, typical outline, well set and carried tail, glossy coat, slightlyheavy in condition but this did not affect her movement.

2 Geraghty’s Tyburn Laodice. Really very feminine bitch, keen showgirl, good topline and depth of body, expressive eyes, attractive showgirl, adequate mover.

3 Palmer’s Egloshayle Black Rosewyn ShCM.

OB(5)

1, CC and BOB, Oxley &Oxley’s CH Digelsa Double Entendre JW ShCM. Three and a half years, beautiful, elegant bitch full of class and type, ideal size, correct topline and proportions, quality head, well carried ears, sparkling eyes, used her neck, well laid shoulders, excellent body and hindquarters, well carried tail, moved and showed so well, in great form.

2 Morris’ Ch Calastoa Ruby Tuesday. 3 years, excellent type and quality, good head and eyes, well handled, being silly on the table but once on the ground regained her confidence to show, moved ok, not the topline of first when moving.

3 Clifton’s Gloryline Tudor Anneboleyn.
