MANCHESTER JUDGE CITY OF BIRMINGHAM 10

Manchester Terriers

I have no complaints about condition as it could be clearly seen, tidy feet straight bone, low set hocks & hard muscle were the order of the day.

I was particularly pleased to see excellent head shapes though a little varied, but well within the perimeter of the Standard, clean teeth were abundant. I wish I could say that eye shape was perfect, in some they were a little questionable. Movement in the younger ones as to be expected a little loose. However, movement generally was fine with no serious complaints from me. The one serious problem I had, the lack of ringcraft, quite often an exhibit of quality has been overlooked because of it.

VD (2,1a)

1 Reeve’s Mimbre Marauder with Harkeats, I really like judging the older ones especially when they are as fine as this fellow, tremendous outline, in excellent condition, moved like a youngster, he was a credit to his owner.

PD (5,1)

1 Tetani Wizard Of Dreams, a fine looking fellow, excelled in head neck & front, good pigmentation, excellent profile with a perfect topline, moving like he knew what to do, great ring presence;

2 Carter’s Mansiya Witch’s Familiar at Afilador, top draw exhibit, fine head & expression, clean scissor bite. Just needs a little more ringcraft training. Moved well;

3 Saxton & Dale’s Rattustrap Black Sheep.

JD (2)

1 Dunford & Akrigg’s Quixol Alexander, this fellow put in a demanding performance carrying his head as though he was in total charge, I liked his attitude, tremendous pigmentation, just a youngster now, but one to watch out for, he moved excellently;

2 T Wizard Of Dreams.

PGD (2)

1 Clifton’s Gloryline Henry The Seventh, fine head & expression, clean throat & neck, set pleasingly into well laid shoulders, excellent profile, good rise over loin. Hindquarters stuffed with hard muscle, moved competently;

2 Brockenella’s Bleddyn, I would have liked a little more head with this fine fellow. His expression was great, clean teeth set beautifully, excellent pigmentation, & good angulations & moved satisfactory.

LD (4)

1 Goodwin’s Digelsa Dionysis, excellent type, fine head & expression, clean scissor bite, tremendous outline, very good pigmentation, super profile, nice tuck, well muscled hindquarters, moved flawlessly;

2 Symington’s Quixol Havoc, a close match with 1 & I have no doubt that they go head to head on a regular basis, great head & expression, clean bite, tight lips, well arched neck, super profile, he was ready for the job, moved positively;

3 Mercer’s Faolan Sirius.

OD (3,1)

1 Braybrook’s Ch Gloryline Sir Thomas More, beautiful head full of masculinity, tremendous expression, large clean teeth, perfectly set, excellent front losing nothing of his masculinity, wonderful angulations, tremendous profile, great topline, powerful hindquarters, aiding his tremendous movement.
