I would like to thank the officers and committee of Darlington Dog Show Society for their invitation to judge Manchester Terriers and give my first set of tickets in my beloved breed
The warm welcome and hospitality made for the perfect day A big thank you to my very able stewards who ensured the ring ran smoothly and guided me through the judging.
And finally thank you to all of the owners who gave me a super entry of Manchester terriers, all dogs were well presented, with good clean teeth, short nails and good temperaments, a credit to you all
I am very grateful for your support and sportsmanship shown on the day

10 yr old dog who was presented in excellent condition being very well muscled and toned. Nice wedged head dark eye, ears ok. Well-marked with clear thumbprints Upto size but balanced . A good front with well laid shoulders and a deep brisket gave a pleasing outline both standing and on the move. He moved positively fore and aft with a well carried tail

1 Lomas Axaldarn Viking Wolf JW
15 mth old dog who entered the ring with the attitude and spirit I was looking for. Presented in tip top condition with well muscled compact body and lustrous coat. The best of wedge shaped heads, well filled under his dark almond eyes, ears held very well. Full of substance and elegance. Lovely neck , slightly arched at crest He has a decent front, well sprung ribs and a good depth of brisket nice topline with the desired rise over loin. He moved positively around the ring just needing to settle a little at times an exciting young dog who will be challenging the big boys, RCC

1 Bodsworth Safiette Theos Doran
A super young dog who is full of terrier spirit and attitude, up on his toes , keen and alert as he entered the ring and whilst being judged 19 mths old dog who is good for size , presented in excellent condition and well muscled with plenty of substance . Correct wedge shaped head, well filled under almond shaped eyes, used his ears well. I particularly liked his front which was narrow and deep, good forelegs which were set well under his body. On the move he came into his own showing great reach and drive and a picture of elegance which ultimately gave him the edge in the challenge I was delighted to award him the CC his second I understand, in the challenge he was still going strong and could not be denied BOB another super young dog coming through the ranks. CC and BOB

8 yr old bitch who for me fits the breed standard so well for size movement and elegance. I particularly like her compact frame spot on for balance and proportion she has a super wedge head dark eye and very well held ears which she uses to advantage she moved well today but not quite with the positivity I know she can I think the cold wind affected one or two of the girls today never the less she did more than enough to take the RCC today RCC BEST VETERAN and delighted to see her taking group 4 in the terrier veteran group well done

Pleasing bitch with lots to like, very well presented in super well muscled fit condition I loved her wedged head, so well filled under her eyes and with a really strong under jaw , ears held well and used to advantage. Decent length of neck showing crest, legs well set under which produced excellent front movement and her well bent stifles drove her from the rear pushed hard for the RCC just preferred the compactness of the winner
2 Spains Nespoli You are My Sunshine
Completely different type to winner, I really liked her size and shapely outline , head of a good length with dark eye, ears flying a little today in the winds, She has a super tuck up and presented a pleasing outline whilst stacked . On the move she showed positive movement but I felt the weather affected her today another who carried her tail perfectly today

Was really pleased to go over this girl today, have watched her from a puppy and always admired her. I wasn't disappointed as soon as I saw her on the table, presenting a picture of elegance and balance. She is standard size with the best of fronts, narrow and with legs set well under her, curvy outline with good tuck up and rise over loin, nice small feet well arched toes and a super wedge head framed by the best small well held ears. Markings are all as they should be with the added bonus of a perfect shaped vent and well held tail set She moved positively and accurately showing good reach and drive I was absolutely delighted to award her the CC her first congratulations !
