MANCHESTER DRIFFIELD 25 Judge: Stephen R Goodwin MANCHESTER JUDGE DRIFFIELD 25 I would like to thank the Officers and Committee of Driffield Championship Show Society for inviting me to judge. I would like to thank my Stewards Mr Gary Smithson & Mrs Maria Woods. I would also like to thank the exhibitors for allowing me the opportunity to judge their dogs. I was presented with some excellent dogs to judge with an entry of 10 dogs making a total entry of 12 There were no dogs absent. I was pleased with both my final line-up and found some excellent examples of the breed. No CC’s on offer but a quality entry with 4 champions present. Special Beginners D (1) 1 Hancocks & Bailey – Rattustrap Crimes At Night 16 months old, pleasing masculine head, well balanced in skull and muzzle, with perfect regular scissor bite, good forehand and topline, body is shortish, with sufficient spring of rib, quarters muscular, stifles are well turned, gaits soundly, presented in lovely condition. Best Special Beginners. VD (1) 1 Almond – Eaglespur Classic Charmer 10 years old, pleasing head, good wedge head, small dark almond shaped eyes, tan somewhat faded is of good breed type, but still moving soundly and enjoying his showing, presented in good condition. BestVeteran Dog. JD (1) 1 Hancocks & Bailey – Rattustrap Crimes At Night See Winner Of Special Beginners Dog PGD (1) 1 Hancocks & Bailey – Rattustrap Crimes At Night See Winner Of Special Beginners Dog LD (1) 1 Bodsworth – Safiette Theos Doron 18 months old, masculine head with small, dark eyes and correct ear placement, scissor bite, correct textured coat, Straight forelegs and muscular rear angulation, short and well sprung ribs, moved soundly, very alert. Shown in good condition, OD (2) 1 Knight – Ch Talanors Typically Elite 5 years old. Quality dog in good in good coat, short and glossy and hard condition, excellent head and expression, small dark almond shaped eyes, reachy neck, set into laid back shoulders, pleasing topline, mature body, moved with good action. I was delighted to award him Best Dog & Best Opposite Sex. 2 Barlow – Ch Talanors Time For Magic 6 years old, quality shaped masculine head, small dark almond shaped eyes, very alert, slightly arched over the loin, good body, preferred the front on the winner, moved well with good tailset, smaller dog with a lot of quality, is of good conformation and put down in good coat and bloom. Reserve Best Dog VB (1) 1 Knight – Ch Talanors Typically Special 8 years young, Quality girl with a well-shaped head and small dark almond shaped eyes, small ears, so well balanced and lovely to go over on the table as everything fits into place, lovely size and confirmation, shown in excellent condition and can still move out with style and really on her toes enjoying her day out, presented in superb condition. Reserve Best Bitch & Best Veteran In Breed. Delighted to see she went on to Terrier Group Veteran 4 under judge Mrs Patsy Hollings OB (4) 1 Walshaw – Ch Kentwone Lyra At Janmark JW 3 years old, quality feminine good wedge head, well set ears, small dark almond shaped eyes, and reachy neck, excellent breed type and confirmation, moved impressively in good coat and bloom, with an alert expression, I was delighted to award her Best Bitch & Best Of Breed. Pleased to see she was short listed in the Terrier Group under judge Mr Nick Connell. 2 Rudd – Digelsa Dark Velvet ShCEx 6 years old, mature bitch, well laid shoulders, sound front, straight forelimbs and pleasing topline, well balanced quarters, deep ribbed up body, moved freely, another one of good type and put down in good condition. 3 Forshaw – Jandor Moonlight Melody Stephen Randle Goodwin (Lanola) |
