MANCHESTER JUDGE LKA 18

I enjoyed my first Championship Show appointment and would like to thank all those who entered under me resulting in a very pleasing entry and who then took my decisions so sportingly. All dogs had good mouths and excellent temperaments. Tail carriage is a bit of an issue and some needed attention to their nails, movement was not uniformly good with some dogs crabbing or moving very close behind however overall a quality entry which hopefully augers well for the future of the breed.

PD (1)

1 & BP – Boots Harliboo Word Gets Around – Up to size and tail a little proud but well shaped with narrow front and conditioned body with the requisite rise over the loin, in excellent condition. Nicely marked with well held ears, dark eye. Lovely bright tan and wedge head. Moved purposefully around the ring. Just needs to fill his frame out.

LD (4,1)

1 &RCC – Spains Talanors Diamond Treat. – Well made compact dog. Well-marked with substance. Dark sparking eye with well held ears and wedge head. A little proud of his tail but settled down on the move and moved well both ways with drive, one of the best movers on the day.

2 – Willis – Talanors Super Treat – Well marked with a dark eye and good ears. In good condition, good spring of rib, finer than winner and did not move with as much drive today.

OD (6)

A super class with some lovely dogs. Some difficult decisions to be made that could all change on another day.

1 & CC – Carters Ch Digelsa Declaration – A worthy champion and showman who clearly loves the ring wagging his tail all the time. He fits the standard with a lovely wedge head, he is well muscled with substance. Good spring of rib and sloping shoulder. Sparkling dark eye with well held ears. Moved round the ring well both ways.

2 Harrisons Ch Magpiebank Ash – Another worthy champion. Slightly larger than winner. Has the requisite rise over the loin and one of the better tail carriages today. Lovely dark eye and largish ears but held well. Moved positively round the ring with drive.

VD(2)

1 & BV -Dunford,Akrigg & Waltons Ch Quixol Alexander – A dog I have always liked and belies his age at 9 years old. Still well marked with a lovely wedge head and a dark eye with well held ears. Has the requisite rise over the loin and moved with drive round the ring.

2 -Olbinson & Kellys Paucelin Andoni at Carapast- Smaller dog. He is also still well marked for age. Nice dark eye and in good condition. Seemed a little overawed today and did not move as well as my winner.

MPB(1)

1 -Bynams Mimbre It’s Norti Nora at Ceebee – A baby at only 7 months of age and her first show. She moved very well for her age and is very promising. Well-marked with a lovely dark eye and wedge head. The venue unfortunately did for her ears today which were flying. One to watch.

PB(1,2)

1 -Bynams Mimbre It’s Norti Nora at Ceebee.

PGB(2)

1-Cawleys Marlablue Queen Bee – A small bitch but all breed points are there. Well marked with a lovely dark eye and good ear carriage. Requisite rise over the loin and good body shape and condition though I would prefer a little more weight. Moved with enthusiasm around the ring.

2-Harrisons Larkswing Belle Star at Rosadyva – Larger than my winner but similarly all breed points are there. Has a nice eye and ear set. However, she was not happy on the day and although she moved well round the ring it was with not much enthusiasm. It may be the venue overawed her.

LB(7)

Both this class and Open bitch were very strong classes with some difficult decisions to make. Most dogs in the classes could change places on another day and some excellent specimens had to be unplaced today.

1&RBCC – Goodwins Digelsa Date Night at Holtaire – A lovely size bitch. Well-marked with a lovely dark eye and ears carried well. Has the requisite rise over the loin and tuck up and moved very well both ways. Carrying a touch too much weight today which cost her top honours but a lovely bitch who should do well.

2 -Church, Dale & Saxtons Rattustrap Fade To Black(ai) – Very close up to my winner and could change places another time. Also a nice sized bitch who is well marked with a dark eye and ear set and lovely wedge head. In lovely condition and excellent coat. Moved well round the ring.

OB(8)

1, CC &BOB -Dale, Saxton & Emricks Ch Rattustrap Bitter’nTwisted(ai) -A bigger bitch but that does nothing to take away from her quality and breed points. A cracking wedge head with a dark almond shaped eye with a stunning expression. Well set ears. Markings good with good lay of shoulder, well ribbed with and good tuck up and bend of stifle. Moved best on day with impulsion around the ring and in tune with her handler. Fought off the challenge for BOB with her movement and head. A lovely bitch.

2 – Knights Typically Special – Unlucky to have come up against my class winner today. A smaller bitch but with all the requisite breed points. Lovely expression with well set ears. Well-marked and shapely body with the requisite tuck up and rise over the loin. Moved well round the ring.

VB (1,2)

1-Dunford & Akriggs Ch NL Ch Paucelin Armana By Quixol. A lovely sized bitch. Although markings are fading slightly still has evidence of thumbprints. Lovely size with small sparkling eye, nice wedge head and one of the best tail carriages today. Moved well round the ring.

GCB (2)

1-Olbinson & Kellys Rattustrap Citra at Carapest – A lovely bitch, beautifully marked, with a lovely head, dark eye and good ear set. Moved better than she did in the earlier class in tune with her handler.

2- Sharpes Rosettia High Hopes – A well-marked bitch with a good colour and body shape. Well balanced outline with good bone. Did not move as well as my winner and flying her ears today.
