MANCHESTER JUDGE LEEDS 22

Grateful to Leeds for giving me this opportunity to award my first set of CCs and to all of you for your support, with just 2 of the 29 exhibits away, I had started with Winchester in 92, followed by passing a seminar/assessment hosted by West Mids Terrier in 09 before a JDP credit in 14, this was a Covid delayed appointment from 2020 with great quality throughout and some exciting youngsters to ensure the breed’s future.

PD 1(0)

1. Brown/Davies’ Wystry Dempsey’s Tipple. 6½ months of quality, as expected, being of Eaglespur Digelsa breeding. Long narrow tapered wedge with small almond eye, already well bodied of correct shape with some depth, good close and coloured coat, good moving pup enhanced by crest of neck and reach in front, just needs that added confidence from more summer outings, one to watch, BPD.

JD 2(1)

1. Harrison’s Greenjack Norris Cole at Rosadyva. 17½ months, quite tall but with a very good outline to fill into as he emerges from his teenage phase, lovely clean cheeked head with that flat skull and well placed ears, classic markings of rich colours including thumbprints, has depth, good backline, can firm at elbow as coming on, tail carriage youthfully ‘gay’ very promising.

OD 6(0)
Such a privilege including 4 with titles.

1. Oxley’s Ch. Digelsa Double Agent. 23 months, tall set yet still compact with an enviable structure, flat skull, clean tapered wedge, excellent eye and ear, narrow and deep with the best of fronts, good neck and forehand, correctly marked and in gleaming condition, moved so true with reach and drive on excellent feet, DCC.

2. Warner’s Talanors Time For Fun. 3½ years and just edging out his full brother, long clean tapered head, well filled under eye, high placed ear, long neck and forehand, excellent proportions, short with slight arch, muscular angulated quarters, is perfectly sound but would have gaited better if given more freedom to do so, Ch quality duly marked by RDCC.

3. Spain’s Ch. Talanors Diamond Tornado.

VD 2(0)

1. Walshaw’s Ch. Talanors Diamonds N’Dreams avec Janmark JW, ShCM. 7 ½ years, best gaiting dog in the whole entry, another full brother, textbook head piece topped by correctly placed and folded ears, well angulated, compact well marked, in immaculate order, just that bit wider now in front, BV.

2. Hebb’s Paucelin Falster JW. 8 years, so functionally keen and agile, outstanding head type, textbook ears, excellent shape and structure, well muscled up, just now paler in tan.

PB 6(0)

Outstanding class, the future looks assured.

1. Walshaw’s Kentwone Lyra at Janmark. 9 months, daughter of the VD and it told the moment she gaited, always a ‘goosebumps’ moment to realise that you are in the company of a future title holder, literally top quality from head to tail, has the shape, has the angulation, has the depth, has the slight arch, has the markings, has the best handler and conditioner, RBCC & BP.

2. Sharpe’s Rosettia Keepsake. 7 months, giving age away so as to be that bit taller and longer that maturity will surely address, long clean cheeked tapered head, excellent overall conformation, narrow and deep, close coated, free and balanced on the move, can just firm at pastern, shows so much future promise if develops on these same lines.

3. Lomas’ Hurrockheath Miss Emmeline.

PGB 2(0)

1. Sharpe’s Rosettia Keepsake. Repeat.

2. Walker’s Sizlin Hey Good Lookin’. 2 years, most feminine clean and tapering head, ears a touch heavy, narrow deep and shapely, markings have run, rather an erratic mover.

LB 4(0)

1. Oxley’s Black Bandits Anything Goes at Digelsa (imp DEU). 17 months import and surely a valuable acquisition as she excels in so many breed specifics, excellent wedge shaped head piece, topped by ideal ears, well constructed and bodied, ideal shape with a correctly set on tail with taper, clearest of markings, can still tighten to advantage on the move.

2. Goulsborough’s Talanors Typically Magic. 2½ years, daughter of 3rd in OB, richly marked colours that are clearly defined, touch longer cast, super head and eye, narrow and deep, so elegant and stylish aided by a good neck line and angulation, just relatively level in backline when circuiting.

3. Forshaw’s Jandor Moonlight Melody.

OB 6(0)

Such an excellent class to make me work.

1. Corcoran’s Digelsa Dash Of Class at Gemris. 23 months, guess I was the only one present totally unaware that here stood the litter sister of the DCC, preferred her proportions and balance overall, such quality body lines, so feminine but with no loss of strength of form, flat skull, classic wedge shape to a taper, well filled under sparkling eye, clean front with spring to pastern, excellent neck and forehand combined correct shape with substance, short tapered tail so well carried, foot perfect on ideal feet with balanced reach and drive, richly marked and defined, handled to maximum effect, took BCC & BOB, which was her 2nd, since when I note she is now titled, congratulations all round.

2. Walshaw’s Janmark Jaunty. 2 years, built on equally quality elegant lines, lovely head topped by ideal ears hanging close to head, good in neck and angles, good shape, excellent coat and colours, well marked, just a tad wider in chest and was that bit less collected on the move, that may well have been just ‘on the day’, certainly of CC quality.

3. Knight’s Ch. Talanors Typically Special.
