MANCHESTER WELKS 12 Judge(s) MRS SYLVIA J MONAGHAN DCC CH CHURNET CONCERTO AT MENFREYA (MRS L C BRANDER) Manchester Terriers Lovely entry of Manchesters. Some were lacking their clear thumbprint markings, ear carriages were also a little flying & movement erratic. Quite a few were trembling but this was obviously due to the cold. I was happy with my placings. PD (2) 1 Simpson’s Leircote Cee Lo, promising youngster. Head is maturing into its ‘chisel’ & correct dentition but ears still to strengthen as appeared flappy. Nice angulation on fore & hindquarters with sound movement; 2 Teague Knight’s Eaglespur Kesterel, showing promise, was extremely nervous & handler advised me she had only had a few minutes practice with him before showing, with more socialising I am sure will overcome this. BP. JD (2) 1 Charlton’s Digelsa Diamond Geeza at Lizelms, presents a good overall picture of right ratio for size. Head is well defined but ears a little wide. Nice top & bodylines, has good angulation on fore & hind quarters but needs to settle as movement erratic; 2 Teague Knight’s Eaglespur Kesterel. PGD (3) 1 Hemsell’s Tetani Wizard Of Dreams, owner to be complimented on her presentation. All major points are there including a nicely shaped ‘chisel’ head, reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Nicely defined fore & hind angulation which showed in his good movement; 2 Stedman’s Mansiya Dare To Be Differenth, all virtues as 1 but lost out on movement as was hopping around & wouldn’t settle; 3 Broadhurst’s Churnet Chorus. LD (2) 1 Arundel & Brown’s Browdel Potters Pickles, smaller in type but is compact & correct in ratio Well defined head with good ear carriage correct dentition. Nicely angulated fore & hind quarters. Moved soundly; 2 Symington’s Quixil Havoc, covers all Standard points. However, was nervous & erratic. When settled moved OK. Needs more socialising. OD (2) 1 Branders’ Ch Churnet Concerto at Menfreya, although one didn’t know it at the time he oozed ‘champ’ with his ring presence. Couldn’t fault, all virtues there with good movement. CC; 2 Dunford, Arundel & Walton’s Ch Quixol Alexander, lovely to see two champs sparring for the honours. Either could have changed places as all virtues there. Just let down on movement. RCC; PB (8) 1 Thurlow’s Erkenwne Spritzer, promising youngster. Head developing nicely with correct dentition. Nice reach of neck set into well laid shoulders. Fore & hind quarter angulation just right with good top & body lines. Moved soundly. BP; 2 Palmer’s Egloshayle Fallen Angel, still developing at the right ratio. Head is not as well defined as 1 yet but this will come. All other points are there. Needs to settle on the move; 3 Branders’ Njghtstorms Mjss Chevious at Menfreya. JB (2) 1 Oxley’s Digelsa De Ja Vu, feminine & elegant with nicely shaped head. Neck angles gently into well laid shoulders Fore & hind quarters have sufficient angulation showing in her sound movement. One I feel will be getting top honours as she matures. PGB (3) 1 Hemsell’s Tetani Spirit Of The Wind, couldn’t fault this young lady today she was showing that she knew what it was all about. Didn’t put a foot wrong. All major points are there with well defined head, correct dentition & sound movement. RCC; 2 Dunford & Arigg’s Paucelin Armarna by Quixol, all virtues of 1 but lost out on movement; 3 Evans’ Coombelane New Beginning. LB (2) 1 Hammet’s Digelsa Double Take Forrr Bryeda, good overall conformation in size & bone. Head is well shaped with correct dentition. Good top & bodylines with nicely angulated fore & hindquarters giving sound movement; 2 Hemsell’s Tetani Spirit Vision, all virtues of 1, just let down by movement that was pulling over. OB (7) 1 Dale & Saxton’s Egloshayle Sea Sprite of Rattustrap, what a classy dame, she is another with ring presence. Couldn’t fault with sound movement owner to be complimented on her condition & was well handled. CC & BOB; 2 Palmer’s Ch Egloshayle Sea Lily, either of these bitches could have changed places. Smaller type but conformation to size. Head is clearly defined with correct dentition. However is let down at times by her movement when she dances over to the side’ 3 Hemsell’s Tetani Princess Of Darkness. SYLVIA J MONAGHAN |
