PARSON SKC AUGUST 08 Judge(s) Mr J Luscott DCC SP/PORT/GIB CH MUHLROSS MELROSIAN (MR P LLINAS) Parson Russell Terriers There is quite a variation in size, shape & balance, so remembering the job they were bred to do a careful eye needs to be kept on the square, tall & non-spannable dogs that seem to be appearing in the ring. This I know will be of concern & as breeders I’m sure the correct type shape & length will return soon to keep this a working terrier we all love & want to preserve as true to the 14/14/14 PRT. PD (8,3a) 1 Denby-Gardner’s Ammanday Augury, smart young dog, well balanced alert head, well developed in body, good topline & outline shape, well muscled in rearquarters, moves with that free striding action required & has a jacket of the right coat, harsh & dense. Considered in the challenge but had to settle for BP; 2 Newport’s Digadenchase The Ace, good balance to this youngster, typical in overall shape of head & body, developing well. Hope he does not grow any more in height. Moves to please at a good pace, alert in head & expression; 3 Sollis’ Mister Bonamonty. JD (1) 1 White & Bailey’s Horncall Ice, well muscled & solid young dog, good bone & build in body, chest & front, good over rearquarters, nice action. Would like more neck to finish the picture. PGD (2) 1 Hadley & Sollis’ Cleeve Hill Fullmonty, typical, impressive, lovely headed dog, attracts in skull, earset & muzzle, carries the right balance in body, easily spannable with good muscle & chest development, moves with the free action required & was alert & active in his outlook; 2 Samways’ Cassacre Outrider, well muscled dog, nicely balanced head, good attitude & in tune with the handler. Chest a little deeper & just spans. He is going well on the move with drive from rearquarters. LD (3,2) 1 Richards’ Pacolito Walteezer, good head & neck greets you on this young lad, carries good body, well muscled & shaped. Little deeper in chest so harder to span. Good quarters, nice angles, covers the ground with good style & action. OD (5,1) 1 Llinas’ Sp/Port/Gib Ch Mulhross Melrosian, quality dog of the right size & shape, impresses with his balanced outline, front, topline & rearquarters, typical head, skull, ear & eye & when excited has the required attitude, good over the ground, has the spannable chest & good thick skinned jacket, went well to win this class. BOB; 2 Roberts & Odd’s Mindlen Rabbit, impressive, strong well built muscle, excellent balance & shape, good front action, muscular neck of good length, spannable chest, nice body & topline shape, moves really well covering the ground. Close but RCC; 3 Samways’ Cassacre Kabin Boy. PB (6,4) 1 Hadley’s Heythrop Tiastorm, smart young lady with class in head, good proportions skull to muzzle, attracts in ear & eye, good neck, front, chest & rear assembly. Slightly shorter in body at this stage but moving & showing well for her handler. BPB; 2 McKnight’s Rainbow Trout Mindlen, loved the head & balance of outline on this youngster, developing in body, muscle & maturity to come, enjoying herself & when steady moved with nice action. Will watch with interest. JB (4) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phortune Monkey, lovely bitch, not quite settled but good on the shape, head balance & body, over topline & loin, nice front but close at the rear. Good jacket, spans easily; 2 H Tiastorm; 3 Pattyn’s Suzans Pride Getaway. PGB (6,3) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Phirstclass, exciting bitch, great outline, neck, head, ear, muzzle & jaw, good shoulder placement, spannable chest & rib length, correct angles, excellent on the move with her front rear & side action, right harsh coat, alert, alive & on her toes to take the CC; 2 White & Bailey’s Rutaaro White Witch, lovely outline when attracted, good through head, body & muscle condition, harsh coat cover, good rib length & moving true. Just needs more animation to liven up the presentation; 3 Sollis’ Amagical Dream. LB (6,1) 1 Swift & Parr’s Pacolito Picture Monkey, won this class with her balance in head, neck, front & outline, good through chest, topline & over loin, nice rib, well handled to produce free striding well coordinated action required. Pushed hard in the challenge to take the RCC; 2 Denby-Gardner’s Ammanday Apparition, close up in the decision this young lady pleases with her expressive head & earset, good through chest, rib & body shape. Not quite the front shoulder of 1 but has lovely size, length & is good on the rear & side action; 3 Baker’s Pacolito Palatial. OB (6,1) 1 Baker’s Pacolito Pathfinder, lovely head & animation, good overall balance, the best mover in the class, has muscle, spannable chest, good rearquarters & true action, strong topline with slight arch over loin. Could have a slightly better length to height ratio & this made the difference in the challenge; 2 Higgins’ Pacolita Dymanti Prima Dona, attractive head & earset, muscular good length of neck, nice front, chest, rib & rearquarters. Slightly longer through body but needs to strengthen & tighten in topline & loin to push for top honours. Good action covering ground on the move; 3 Roberts & Murray’s Ch Mindlen Mataura.
