Bedlington Terrier
It’s nice when I don’t see the exhibits very often, as I get a clearer overall picture as to where the breed is going. Overall the dogs were in quite good shape but there were a few which were a bit weak at the back end & could do with some more muscle. Nevertheless I would say the breed was in better shape overall than last time I judged which is good news. PD (0). JD (0). PGD (2) 1 Ross’ Cedar Of The Manor, well made dog, muscular & well boned, good shoulders, nice front, good length of tail, moved well, good all round. RCC; 2 Ames’ Sharnor Blue Diamond, nice expression & good overall head shape with pleasing expression, much leaner dog than 1 but still good overall shape & balance, moved well. LD (3,1a) 1 Welsh’s Rotherview Ring Leader at Wudrusjuk, good overall balance, a lovely colour, very pleasing head & expression, lean neck, shoulders nicely sloped, moved well; 2 Wharton-Smith’s Miteymidgets Shermantank, solid dog, loads of muscle & bone, nice head, moved OK. OD (8) 1 Scorah & Wiles’ Ch Rivendown Return Of The King, very pleasing overall, nice dog to go over, strong head & neck but not coarse, shoulders well sloped, well balanced, moved well. CC & BOB; 2 Walshaw’s Janmark Alannora, good overall shape with dark colour coming through on coat, nice flat sides, pleasing head & neck, trimmed well & moved well; 2 Garbutt’s Ch Aireview Reprint. PB (3) 1 Brooks’ Rathsrigg Boudica, more mature than others & it showed, very promising, moved OK. BP; 2 Greenland’s Winfell Countess, very feminine, lovely head & expression, long lean neck, showed she could walk well when she concentrated, very promising; 3 Welsh’s Wudrusjuk Work Of Art. JB (2) 1 Bannister’s Miteymidgets Matilda, good all round shape, nice front & shoulders, well trimmed & good coat as ever from this kennel; 2 Ross’ Honeymist Gaviota, lovely expression & head, well presented, good overall body shape. A bit narrow at front. Moved OK. PGB (2) 1 Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Sapphire, feminine bitch, lovely overall body shape with good front & rear, promising, moved well; 2 Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Bonnie Blue Bell, a nice feminine bitch, pleasing head & expression, nice front, very close to 1 but just preferred 1 overall. Moved well. LB (5,1) 1 Butler’s Uptnorth True Colours, good shape, nice head & neck, good colour, moved OK when she got going, bit immature but promising. RCC; 2 Ames’ Mollora Frozen In Time at Sharnor, very close to 1, nice head & eye, shapely neck & shoulders, good coat, moved well; 3 Scorah & Wiles’ Rivendown Rohan Ash. OB (5) 1 & CC, Hurley’s Fralex Culibre Heather, good overall shape front & rear, nice long neck, good lay of shoulders, moved well. CC; 2 Davies’ Ch Honeymist Time Will Tell, nice overall shape, nice coat & well trimmed, moved well; 3 Walshaw’s Ch Mollora Kristi Marie with Janmark.
