BEDLINGTON JUDGE RICHMOND 08

Thanks to all the Bedlington people who had to have a change of rings, resulting in dogs & equipment having to be moved about. Your good humour was appreciated, as it did get a bit stressful during judging my first breed in the flood.

V (2)

1 Winstanley’s Razwell Blue Ash, dog up to size & the better for it, good muscle throughout, fit & very well presented, liked the front assembly, coat prepared by an expert, moved well, feet sound;

2 Honey’s Barnsnap Bryony, lovely lady, good topline, front, head shape & trim. Not the sure action of 1.

JD (2,1a)

1 Alder’s Catchfraze Free N Eezzi, very fit, coat well prepared, front OK, well set tail, moved better as the time went on & settled into his task, head set on well, good expression & dark eye, ear set well.

PGD (3)

1 Ames’ Sharnor Blue Diamond, nice clean lines, fit throughout, liked the head, with good shape, forehand looked good with sound feet, dark eye, ears, muscled backend, moved well;

2 Harris’ Ratzwell Independence, difficult choice as I liked his topline better when it had relaxed, but didn’t have quite the condition of 1, such a pity;

3 Colley’s Brumington Jack Bojangles.

OD (3)

1 Yearley’s Ch Lowbrookd Llaffan, well known ch who still puts in a first class performance here, a truly experienced team of handler & dog, difficult to find new comments to describe him, perhaps not too much of this & not too much of that, but right. BOB;

2 Walsh & Bounden’s Lowbrook Lately of Tolpedn, litter brother to 1, sharing most of the attributes, but lacking that confidence that a winning dog accumulates to finish the performance;

3 Caine’s Burmington And Me Too.

JB (2)

1 Winstanley’s Catchfraze Flirty Girty, very nice size bitch with lots to like, good in front with enough lay of shoulder, feet, reach of neckline with feminine expression, well muscled, tail, moved well;

2 Feilding’s Seofiron Here It Comes, smaller, losing on preparation, but shows lots of promise for the future.

PGB (5,1)

1 Collier’s Mollora Little Rosie, lovely topline, best here. Spoilt by excessive furnishings over & round the loin. Forehand, expression, in super condition. I thought to be my BB, but didn’t get it together in the challenge;

2 Bounden & Alder’s Lowbrook Lark of Tolpedn, fit to burst, well presented, moved well, nicely made in front with good muscle throughout;

3 Robert’s Cornashton Blue Willow.

OB (5,2)

1 Yearley’s Lowbrook Lookin for Trouble, beautifully put down bitch oozing class, fit, muscled, good topline, front converging, moved out very well. BB;

2 Hyde’s Gnejnabay Zena of Bigibba, nice front, well made, moved OK. Lost out with coat & topline to 1.

PETER EVA
