I had a disappointing entry. Is this the way the breed is going? PD (1) A. JD (5,1) 1 Frost & Vario’s Travella Secret Pact, well made young dog of correct size, good bone, nice lean head & strong jaw, scissor bite, ears well positioned, short back, level topline & good set on, hard coat. Not in the best of condition today. Sound in movement going & coming; 2 Heritage’s Kenmilleven The Buzzword, well made young dog, longer cast than 1. Good honest head, nice dark sharp eye, correct ear placement, in good condition, lovely black hard coat, undocked, fair angulation but moved well; 3 Bradford’s Flyntwire Fire at Will. PGD (1) 1 Jones’ Fernlair Out Of Bounds, smaller dog but in proportion, nice lean head, small ears placed correctly. A little upright in shoulder but nice short back level topline, good set on, moved OK. Would just liked to have seen her coat in better condition. Handled well. LD (1) 1 De Munter Viterwijk’s Eleazer van Follinhome, I liked this dog, he had quality, up to size, good bone & substance, lovely long lean head, dark eye, full of expression, good reach of neck, laid back shoulders, level topline, super set on, moved OK, in tip-top condition, hard coat & well presented. RCC. OD (2) 1 Hill’s Hillrise Special Delivery, sound well balanced dog, good bone. Would just have liked a leaner head but a scissor bite & strong jaw with dark eye overcame this. Laid back shoulders, short back, good set on, excellent hindquarters, good angulation which gave driving movement covering the ground well going & coming, in good condition & well presented. I could have tossed a coin between this dog & my LD winner but this dog won on overall conformation & balance. CC; 2 Schoneberg & Gilberg-Nielson’s Dan Ch Wilson v d Schonenbergen, up to size, longer cast than 1, lovely head, dark eye, correct ear placement, good laid back shoulder, nice front, strong set on. Movement not so good behind. In super condition & well presented. PB & JB (1) A PGB (0). LB (3,2) 1 Allen’s Travella Special Intent, full of quality & a true girl, overall conformation eye catching, lovely long lean head, small dark eye full of expression, small ears in use all the time listening to her handler, correct reach of neck, well laid back shoulders, short back, good firm set-on, strong hindquarters, super angulation, movement good with drive from behind covering the ground like a true Wire should. Condition & presentation excellent. CC, BOB & G2; OB (2) 1 Goodsell’s Ch Blackdale Carousel, lovely feminine bitch with quality, superb lean head, ears well placed, short coupled, good spring of rib, level topline, excellent set on & plenty behind the tail. Her movement lacked a little purpose being in season she may have had her mind on other things. In wonderful condition, put down & handled with compassion. RCC; 2 Calonaci & Marchetti’s Sweet Dream at Northwire, smaller bitch of nice conformation, long lean head, correct bite, good bone, nice shoulders, short back, in good coat & condition. Movement a little unbalanced. Presented & handled well.
