Fox Terrier (Wire)
PD (1) 1 Ensell’s Saredon For Sure at Nemiah, after a bright start, this young dog took a dislike to the hall & was most unhappy. He is a raw, rangy puppy, with a long lean head, nice reach of neck, level topline, good coat, has time on his side & I hope he gets over this unhappy experience. BP. JD (3,2a) 1 Bradford’s Flyntwyre Fire at Will, t/w, nicely balanced dog not overdone anywhere, good reach, level topline, good set-on & quarters. Front movement OK but rather wide behind. PGD (3,1) 1 Booton’s BoowireTudor Minstrel, long lean head with good ear placement giving good expression, good layback of shoulder, level topline, good quarters & set-on, in good coat & well presented, showed well, sound mover; 2 Anderson’s Denidale Revival, cobbier type, short coupled with good body, level topline & good quarters which he used well on the move, in good coat & condition, showed well. Would have preferred a leaner skull. LD (4,1) 1 Westwood’s Nethertonion Three Lions, real stallion of a dog, long punishing head with good expression, lovely reach of neck, short coupled, level topline, good set-on, good bone, legs & feet, in great coat & condition, he took my eye as he came into the ring. CC; 2 Stott’s Ghyllmoire Makers Mark, different type to winner, more of an old fashioned one, good head, neck & topline, well presented. Moved OK; 3 Hall’s Gosel Waterloo. OD (5,1) 1 Hill’s Hillrise Special Delivery, great showman & a very sound mover, stands foursquare, short coupled with big quarters, level topline with a good set-on. I would like him to have a more classic head & he was not in his best coat. RCC; 2 Schoneberg & Gilbjerg-Nielsen’s Dk Ch Wilson v d Schonenbergen, lovely head, ear & eye, good shoulder placement, short coupled, good bone, legs & feet, in good coat, showed well, spoilt his chances with poor hind movement; 3 Bradbury & Jacklin’s Davwen Billy Bach. PB (1) 1 Pearce’s Alkinra Big Tease, it is such a shame when puppies are on their own in the ring, she was quite overcome with the proceedings. Lean head & good expression, enough substance for age. Tail is low set which does not help her hind movement. JB (2,1) 1 Allen’s Travella Special Intent, most attractive white bodied bitch with a gorgeous expression, good reach, level topline, good set-on, good spring of rib, really strong quarters, she moved round the ring like a little steam engine, in super coat & condition, showed well to take the RCC. Her day will come, I’m sure. PGB (5,2) 1 Howe’s Valken Violetta, beautiful head, ear & eye, short coupled, good spring of rib, good bone, legs & feet, in excellent coat & condition. Would like a bit more drive behind; 2 Davies’ Tsuselena D Xinela Blu Pearl at Davwen, charming little bitch with all the essentials, in good coat & condition, well presented & moved & showed well. Just wish there was more of her all round; 3 Bend’s Ghyllmoire Gimmee Me Shelter. LB (4) 1 Nixon’s Willowyre Wish To Impress, attractive, quality bitch with a good head & expression, good body, nice layback of shoulder, level topline & good set-on, in excellent coat & condition, moved well on a loose lead; 2 Anderson’s Denidale Surprise Package, I liked this bitch a lot, she has a good head, ear & eye, good spring of rib, level topline, good bone, legs & feet, in good coat & well presented, moved & showed well; 3 Clark & Browbank’s Ellenside Love Her Madly. OB (3,1) 1 Goodsell’s Ch Blackdale Carousel, beautiful bitch, as sound as a bell, long, lean head with good ear placement, so short coupled with great spring of rib, level topline & correct set-on, she moves like clockwork, her front is as true as true, in wonderful coat & condition & shown to perfection by her owner/handler. CC & BOB. I was disappointed she did not figure in the group; 2 Calonaci & Marchett’s Sweet Dream of Northwire’s, lovely bitch, long, lean head, excellent front, good bone, legs & feet, super coat & condition & a sound mover, showed well. In the challenge she did not make the most of her charms.
