Overall I was very pleased with the condition & presentation of the dogs, although some did need a little attention. As the name says it is the West Highland White Terrier.

V (3)

1 Andrews’ Rupann Silver Charm, 10 years bitch still looking & moving very well, nice head, good mouth, shown & handled well. BV;

2 Andrews’ Birkfell Shining Star of Rupann, 11 years bitch, a credit to her owners, nice head, correct coat. Just lost to 1 on movement;

3 Langton’s Crinan Celtic Fern.

PD (4,1)

1 West’s Karamynd Playing Away at Tomlyndon, 6 months, nice head & neck, harsh coat, correct tail, moved well for one so young;

2 Hope’s Shphaina Sam The Man, 7 months, showing promise but needs more time to come on;

3 Jenkinson’s Highcroft Handicraft.

JD (3,1)

1 Dale’s Lynnsto Mastercard, good head, nice correct eye & ears, moved well, coat in good condition, handled well;

2 McLoughlin’s Ley Hey Loyal Leader, nice young dog in good clean condition, nice head on clean neck leading to correct shoulders. Just lost to 1 on size & maturity.

PGD (2)

1 McLoughlin’s Ley Hey Living Legend, pleasing head, good double coat, correct tail, moved OK;

2 Fletcher-King & King’s Kellbany White Wizard, nice outline. Coat not as good as 1. Moved well.

LD (1)

1 Taylor’s Birkfell Second Chance, very nice all round. Just a little out of coat. Pleasing head, correct eye & ears, moved with drive, very good front. RBD.

OD (3,2)

1 Dale’s Lamsmore Leckbuie at Lynnsto, in excellent condition, very good head, small ears, dark eye well set apart, moved freely with drive, commanded the ring. Nothing I can say could do justice to this superb example of the breed. BOB.

PB (5,1)

1 Hayton’s Pedrohay Silver Rosebud, 9 months, very nice head, good coat, excellent ribs for one so young, moved with a maturity far above her age. BP;

2 Strand’s Westlake Pearly Lady, 8 months, well presented youngster, full of promise. Coat not at this time as good as 1. Head very nice on good neck, correct tail, held topline on the move;

3 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Snowflake Lass.

JB (4)

1 Smith’s Lingbeck Leading Lady, good coat, very pleasing head, moved well with drive, shows a lot of promise, should do well;

2 Dale’s Lynnsto Ultraviolet, did not command the ring as 1. Very good head, nice ears & dark eye, moved OK;

3 Cleland’s Something Similar at Birkfell.

PGB (3)

1 Smith’s Highcross Cascade, 5 years, very strong bitch, good head, level topline, correct tail, moved well. RBB;

2 Hunt’s Kellethrigg Rose Hip Lass, correct size, good coat, moved well. Lost on ring presence to 1;

3 Langton’s Trannendale Sparkle ‘N’ Shine.

LB (2)

1 West’s Tomlyndon Look of Love, very nice bitch, good head, dark eye, correct ears, excellent rib, moved with drive;

2 Hayton’s Silver Senorita at Pedrohay, excellent bitch in great show condition. Little to choose between the two but just preferred overall balance of 1.

OB (2,1)

1 Cooper’s Ashgate Camellia, what a cracker, excellent throughout, super head on nice neck to great shoulders, coat very good, harsh with the soft under coat, well balanced, moved with drive, turned out to perfection. BB.
