Border Terriers

Good front & rear movement together was hard to find, it was either one or the other making some placings hard. I was very pleased with my winners.

MPD (5,1a)

1 Jenkin’s Badgerbeck Felix, nice size for his age, pleasing head, good topline & easily spanned, showed well;

2 Dickinson’s Blackmine Rossington;

3 Lowry’s Tythorp Todhunter at Ravenside.

PD (5,1)

1 Iddon’s Murphs Rutland Rascal, lovely head, good outline, narrow front & good length of neck, topline good, moved & showed well. BPD;

2 Mackenzie’s Akenside Zadok The Priest, nice head. Not as mature as 1 & a bit short of coat;

3 Edward’s Upend Toby Boy of Dualta.

JD (7,1)

1 Guvercin’s Glebeheath Johnny The One, caught my eye early on, young dog who showed throughout, balanced, good shoulders & front, nice head & good teeth, moved with drive & in good excellent condition. CC & BOB;

2 Marr’s Redfox Robbie, not as mature as 1. Good head & length of neck. Rear angulation not as good as 1;

3 Woolrich’s Mansergh Song Thrush

. ND (3,1)

1 B Felix;

2 Haughton’s Chorbeck Moonlight Shadow.

PGD (9)

1 Peacock’s Ragtan Harris, handy size, not too big under his lovely coat. Would have liked a tighter front but on the whole very pleasing. Kind eye & very alert, movement OK;

2 Wallace’s Hobholt Harrier, bit shorter in the leg therefore not as racy as 1. Nice tailset, good bend of stifle;

3 Morgan’s Badgerbeck Festive Spirit at Blewecourt.

LD (10,1)

1 Thomas’ Byrons Greengrass, really good laid back shoulders & narrow front, nice head & expression, movement good. Is starting to feel his feet & gain in confidence;

2 Johnson’s Karison Kasper, smaller version of 1 but a little heavier. Moved & showed well;

3 Marr’s Ruelata at Redfox.

OD (10,3)

1 Lee’s Ch Tythrop Tapas, the lightest, narrowest & leanest of all the dogs in this class, the easiest to span, moved & showed well;

2 Lowry’s Ravenside Myskiko, not as easily spanned & heavier than 1. In full coat. Movement not as good as 1;

3 Jenkins’ Badgerbeck Bonsai.

MPB (9,1)

1 Hooper’s Nell Gwynn at Esyntona, bl/t, nice topline, nice puppy underneath a full coat, showed well. One you need to get your hands on to appreciate, easily spanned & it will be interesting to see her mature. BP;

2 Flannagan’s Otterbobs Rum And Raisen, nice type & size, good front & head. Not as good on the move as 1;

3 Martin’s Stineval Celeste at Merunhor.

PB (14,3

) 1 Freivokh’s Dugaden Dilema at Artwork, very smart bitch, up to size, good length of neck, nice front, not too deep in brisket & flat ribs, good bend of stifle;

2 McLellen’s Akenside Zetland via Breconbeds, beautiful head & expression, lovely narrow front. Not as balanced as 1. Would have liked a little shorter in the leg;

3 Fryer’s Irton Polka.

JB (9,1)

1 Armstrong’s Totenia She Knows You Know at Justrite, pleasing bitch, not overdone anywhere, best mover in this class;

2 Shreader’s Ragatam Harriot, lovely head. Slightly heavier in front than 1;

3 Morgan’s Glebeheath Minnie The Moter at Blewcourt.

NB (7,1)

1 Taylor’s Foxthorn Maggie May, better on the move than 2 this bl/t bitch is balanced, good outline, nice short tail;

2 Nicholson’s Bonzodog Mustang Sally at Starburst, pretty little bitch, good head & slightly finer built than 1, better shoulder placement;

3 Golding’s Foxcraig Magic Star at Beaconpike.

PGB (14,2)

1 Wanless’ Thorneyburn Minnie The Minx, bl/t, good outline, spannable, level topline & good bend of stifle, tail set-on;

2 Cooper’s Glenorchy Reba, better in shoulder than 1 but not happy & pulled on the move;

3 Johnson & Williams’ Quarryway Sorrel.

LB (12,3)

1 Davies’ Glenorchy Touch Of Class, lovely bitch, slightly better head than 2 but that’s all. Very tough decision to make, both these bitches were quality & both had nice small feet & moved soundly & with drive. RCC;

2 Kestle’s Tibbyted Sugerplum Fairy of Huffonwuff, lovely bitch, these two should have been in a brace class together they were so well matched. Very unfortunate they had to challenge at this early stage;

3 Guvercin’s Glebeheath Figurine.

OB (7,3)

1 Jenkins’ Badgerbeck Fantacy, two lovely bitches & another hard decision, 1 having a better length of neck & body, just more balanced & having a bit more sparkle than 2. CC;

2 Kestle’s Bristlebrush Lilly Lou, what a lovely expression she has & no disgrace to come 2nd. Easily spanned & moved well;

3 Fraser & Butler’s Blue Tutu via Ycart.
