Royal Highland Showground, Ingliston, Edinburgh Judge Mrs M Ward DCC CH/IR CH BADLESMERE BRABAZON IN KOFYN (MR M & MISS M PRESLAND & VINCENT) Plenty of quality all round, none of the exhibits could be overlooked, size still a challenge in some cases PD (1) 1 Thornley’s Warbonnet Jon Bon, loved everything about this quality youngster, good type with shape & size to match, well turned filled head, perfect scissor bite, depth of brisket, well ribbed, good solid legs, attractive b/br/w & just the right size. Considered him for further honours but handler had difficulty moving, so could not fully assess the dog’s movement but feel soon as this is sorted, will come in with a bang. JD (1) 1 Vicker’s Duvessa Red Cloud, attractive red, nice outline, good head, nice profile, correct bite, good front assembly, forequarters more developed than rear at this stage of his development but this will come. LD (4) 1 Barrett’s Margins Monsoon, powerful headed b/w, good turn & fill, correct scissor bite, nice eye placement, depth in brisket & well rounded, strong legs, well muscled thighs which showed on the move, giving the edge on 2. RCC; 2 Taylor’s Seayess Firstnight, lovely profile, strong head, nice down fill, loved his masculine expression, strong neck, solid front. Not such a good mouth as 1 & not quite the strength in quarters; 3 Askham’s Jiltrain Jokers Wild with Shikoku. OD (1) 1 Presland & Vincent’s Ch/Ir Ch Badlesmere Brabazon in Kofyn, lovely balanced white dog, hints at the power in that frame but nothing exaggerated. At the same time making no excuse for his sex, well turned filled head, correct scissor bite, nice eye placement, good neckline, well boned front, strength in shoulder, good depth to brisket, plenty of rib, strength in quarters, viewed from any angle a balanced dog, & not disappointed on the move. CC & BOB. PB (2) 1 Haworth’s Warbonnet Madam Bovary at Teregram, both litter sisters to the PD, lovely litter, good head well filled. Not quite as good a mouth as 2 but good body shape. Preferred her ratio of body to leg length balancing the overall outline & was able to move more freely; 2 Thornley’s Warbonnet Reet Petite, super head, correct mouth, good fill, nice eye, well sprung ribs, depth of brisket & well bodied. Just like to see little more leg to balance with body, & with handler’s mobility problem, hard to assess movement. JB (2) 1 Pilkington’s Transcend Golden Child to Javarke, just under 12 months, attractive good shaped head well filled, piercing eye shape & placement, correct bite, plenty of bone with substance to match, well ribbed, strong shoulders & legs, front assembly well put together, solid well constructed body, positive mover. RCC & BP: 2 Cashin’s Seayess True Feelings, nice head, good eye shape. Not quite the bite of 1. Solid front, right amount of bone & substance to match, good body shape. Seemed stronger moving but nice all round bitch. LB (1) 1 McGregor’s Bullypins Millima of Merlindan, good all round body shape, solid construction, nice head, correct mouth, used her ears to advantage, short back, well developed body, firm topline on the move. OB (2) 1 Wylie’s Ch Transcend Racing Spot, beautiful white balanced bitch, black patch over eye & ear just adds to expression, has that charisma of a true showgirl & pushed the dog hard for BOB. Lovely well filled head, strong without losing femininity, correct scissor bite, good eye & ear placement, solid well constructed body shape, good rib, strength in legs, powerful quarters, lovely sound mover going parallel. CC; 2 Stephens’ Seayess First Love, nice head, excels in body shape with much to commend, solid front, good legs with strength in bone, well rounded body with substance & bone to match, moved without hesitation in both directions.
