Apart from a little glitch getting to the show on Saturday, everything went very smoothly, the committee worked extremely
hard ensuring a well run and trouble free show. I would like to say thank you to Roy and Marion Gregg who looked after me at the show, they are a lovely couple. And a very special thank you to Joan Williams; her hospitality is second to none.
Joan along with Una Rigney made my stay a very pleasant one. Their wit, humor and knowledge of dogs was amazing;
they were the perfect hostesses.

JUNIOR - Dog

1st GLENFITOR O'MAOILEOIN (T, F & N MALONE & MCKEON) On his own, a good length of head with a dark small eye,
pigmentation correct with a correct bite. Flowing neck into well place shoulders, good spring of rib, good substance
with toned muscle. Short coupled but the tail carriage tended to spoil his outline. Good angulations he moved positive both ways.

1st EDBRIOS MARCO POLO NAF ( CUSACK, O'BRIEN & POULOVA) A very showy dog with a decent head, dark eye and correct bite. I didn't like his ear carriage too high for the true kerry expression. Reachy neck with good layback, short back with a good tail set and good carriage of it. Good bone and spring of rib, good angulations coupled with powerful hindquarters.
Good mover both ways. Nice coat and colour. Dog CC.

2nd GAELACHGORM FLURRY KNOX (MR B DEARDON) This dog is an eye catcher super long head, long neck good shoulders,
good substance. A real showman. I would have liked him to move better on the day and his coat is not his fortune. I preferred
the overall balance and movement of 1 which you learn after experience is more important than exaggeration. RCC.

3rd SW/DAN CH ROLLICK'S FOOL FOR FAME SHCM (MISS M & MR S DALE & COOPER)

PUPPY - Bitch

Entries: 4 Absentees: 1

1st YOUNG GUNNER (MR D DILLON) Nice head and expression, dark small eye and good pigmentation, correct bite, reachy neck into good shoulder placement, short coupled and positive movement. Showed her head off for her young handler. BP.

2nd FERGIES BALL (MR G & MISS A DALY) I see from the catalogue that this bitch and the winner are litter sisters. This one has maybe the better head of the two with all of the same virtues as 1. However she didn't use her ears to advantage and was very loose with her front movement, possibly because she wasn't enjoying herself on the day, maybe better outdoors.

3rd ARIGNA ANYTHING GOES AT KANJULEY (IKC) (MRS G & MRS J FORD & MCMURRAY)

LIMIT - Bitch

Entries: 2 Absentees: 1

1st KENSBRIDGE MOONDANCE (MR K & MRS A C NEILL) Where have the Neils been hiding this one? An eye catcher if ever there was one. On her own it didn't matter, she showed her socks off. A decent length of head, small dark eye, neat ears and a keen expression. Scissor bite and good pigmentation. Reachy neck, good layback of shoulder short coupled and a sound mover. Nice coat and colour and presented to perfection. RCC.

OPEN - Bitch

1st CH SHARP N SHOCKING OF IRISBLU (MR J & MR D AVERIS & SCAWTHORN) I judged this bitch a couple of years ago as an eight months old puppy and gave her Best Of Breed which raised a few eyebrows...there were a lot of good Kerries there.
For me she was an easy winner then as she was at this show. A lovely kerry Blue Terrier she has all of the attributes that the breed standard calls for. A lovely balanced bitch who never stops showing. A worthy Champion and Group Winner.
She is the same now excepting for coat and colour as she was as a puppy. My only disappointment in her is that she never got any better with maturity. I expected this bitch to become one of the all time greats... all breeds.

2nd IR CH CASTLEBLU SWEET CAROLINE (MR E BRACEWELL) Nice headed bitch with a good expression, a bit light in eye, reachy neck with decent shoulders, well bodied with powerfull quarters, a tad wide in front,
but she moved positively both ways. Nice coat and colour.
