It was an honour to be asked by the Kerry Blue Terrier Association of England to award Challenge Certificates at their Breed Club show on 6th of April 2008 It was also a great pleasure to have an entry of 66 dogs making up a total entry of 77. I would to take this opportunity to thank to all the exhibitors who turned up on such a snowy morning to show their dogs.
It is a couple of years since I have judged the breed in England and it was great to see so many new faces and so many quality dogs. As a general observation of the Breed on the day I would say that I found temperament and type excellent, especially in the youngsters, heads and mouths excellent. One of the negatives I found was in overall muscle condition especially soft inner thighs leading to some poor rear movement; I think a little more road work required for some folk.

Minor Puppy Dog
1st Cyres Master Craftsman Just six months old showed well for a puppy excellent head and wonderful expression just shaded Gerry Daly’s Daleso’s first class into second place. This was another excellent puppy I hope they keep progressing.
3rd Kenmileven First Class For Kamaghan

Puppy Dog
1st Kenmileven First Class For Kamaghan a well constructed puppy nice reach of neck. On the day his expression just didn’t catch my eye.
2nd Cyres the Master a nice puppy also but just didn’t settle time yet for this little fella to improve.

Junior Dog
1st Rimbert Phantom Menace Excellent young dog moved well I really liked his head with a small dark terrier eye giving excellent expression
2nd Kamaghan King of Swing at Maebryn is another nice type of dog well constructed with good reach of neck and excellent layback in shoulder moved and showed well.

Novice Dog
1st Brandyn The Mighty Atom This dog showed well, his head height and body are all in proportion. Nice colour for age. This dog was also first in Graduate Dog Class.

Limit Dog
1st Nedavir Notorious. An nice upstanding dog. This dog caught my eye the moment he entered the show ring. Excellent head and reach of neck covered the ground well and showed well.
2nd Arkarma Rockafella. Well presented dog who showed well on the day nice head expression with a good top line.

Open Dog
What a class! When these seven dogs came into the ring I knew I had my work cut out for me and when it came to the final decision it was a hairs breath between the first two dogs. I gave first place to Edbrios Amadeus, this dog did not put a foot wrong he moved and showed like a true showman. In terms of conformation of the Breed I can say he is really well made and he was presented in top condition. I gave second place to Ch & Ir Ch Cranmoss Finbar Of Colinca another fantastic dog who moved and showed well on the day.

Minor Puppy Bitch
An excellent class of 5 minor puppy bitches all enjoying the day
1st Cyres Glamerous This puppy was a dream to go over lovely head excellent reach of neck and such a short back showed like a veteran.
2nd Fergies Ball another excellent puppy good head and neck showed well the winner in this class just more of my type.
3rd Rinbert Queen of Narnia
4th Kopykats One In a Million

Puppy Bitch
1st Rimbert Queen of Narnia 3rd in MPB but by no means a lost cause this puppy has a lovely head and excellent body construction she moved well and will be in the frame in the future.
2nd Riber Queen Avaris close second similar type a little more ringcraft required.

Junior Bitch
This was a fantastic class of young bitches all showing well and saying give me first place and indeed there was very little between the placings.
1st Arkarma No Angel. A very steady and mature bitch for her age already showing colour, moved well confirming confirmation. Excellent head and good level top line.
2nd Kamaghan Almighty Aphrodite another showgirl and not much between these two, I just preferred the head on 1st
3rd Step N Out for irisblu

Novice Bitch
This class was one of those classes that places can only be awarded after close examination.
1st Dollagh I Want it Now This was the best of these three novice bitches. I would have preferred a better tail set, she did not show well on the day.

Graduate Bitch
1st Edbrios Vanity Fair at Akarma An excellent bitch with class written all over defitinely my type. This bitch had nice head and neck, excellent lay back of shoulder and level top line. She moved and showed well. I would gladly have her in my kennel.
2nd Kamaghan Fire N Ice. Well coloured bitch nice short back not just as refined as number one for me.

2nd Nice type of bitch needs to mature a little more otherwise a god prospect.

LIMIT BITCH
1st Stanstead Mai Tai. Excellent bitch moved and showed well excellent rear movement very steady. She had a nice head reach of neck well presented.
2nd Kamaghan On A Mission for Lynnisto. A different type from 1st well balanced all round, height, length of back, reach of neck and head another judge could reverse one and two. I preferred type of first

1st Ir Ch Neat Petite at Hallsblu. An excellent bitch with a beautiful coloured jacket, she moved well and showed like she wanted to steal the show, nice head and keen dark eye gave her super expression. Her coat and colour were in tip top condition. I just could not go past this bitch for first place.
2nd Granemore Imperial Beauty of Colinca Another excellent bitch who did not put a foot wrong on the day. Avery well constructed bitch who demonstrated power on the move, just shaded by first. I have no doubt this bitch will be winning CC,s in the future.
